Jayveeritz Bautista is a doctoral candidate in Environmental Health Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. Jayvee is a fellow at the Southern California NIOSH SCERC Targeted Research Training Fellowship program in Occupational Health, and he is a member in the Air Pollution Health Effects Lab directed by Dr. Michael Kleinman and Dr. Andrea De Vizcaya Ruiz. His research focuses on inhalation toxicology, examining the relationship between exposure to metals in e-cigarette vapor and lung toxicity.

Jayvee graduated from the Master of Science in Forensic Science program at UC Davis, where he studied the effects of metal-specific dust in the lungs at the UC Davis Center for Health and the Environment and worked as a graduate student researcher at the UC Davis Tobacco Control Evaluation Center.
